Thomas stood and stared in unbelief

For what he heard, he could not conceive

He’d seen him hanging on the tree

He never would forget what he had seen

Though he saw him feed the thousands

He’d watched him heal the lame

Seen him walk on water

And raise the dead by a command

He saw all these wonders

But what he hadn’t seen I guess

Is with a heart a man believes

He said unless I can see with my own eyes

or place my finger in his nail scarred hand

I never will believe he arose again
