In Reality
In Reality
In a Faraway kingdom I’ve imagined late at night
There’s a city on a mountain shining brightly full of light
I see little children laughing and playing in the streets
They’ll never be hungry nor have a place to sleep
I pictured in that city streets paved with gold
I saw a beggar and orphans dressed in their white robes
Rolls and rolls of mansions an endless crystal sea
Visions of splendor beyond our wildest dreams
Here in reality
There’s people who need help
Homeless seeking shelter
Children needing fed
and some day in heaven Jesus will say
when I was cold you clothed me
when I was hungry you gave bread
I’m waiting for this kingdom I believe with all my soul
That some day up in heaven I’ll see these sights unfold
But I cannot close my eyes to all the pain and sorrow
I can share with my brothers while I’m waiting here below
Alt. Chorus;
But in this world of reality
There’s people who need help
Homeless seeking shelter
Families in distress
And one day in heaven Jesus will say
When I was homeless you gave shelter
When I was troubled you gave rest
